HAMRun

50 miles

Solo unsupported Enhanced Gravel Run event.  We will warn you – this is not your typical trail run. Think Barkley Marathons, you are on your own. We will transport you to the start line — somewhere — and drop you off.  It’s up to you to get back to Basecamp in one piece, guided by a provided GPX file. We anticipate 6,000+ feet of elevation gain over roughly 50 miles. Depending on the summer you may run into roads that seem to be filled with sand for miles – Enhanced. You’ll encounter mud and rock – Enhanced. Long stretches of unsupported wilderness – Enhanced. If you make it back to camp in 12 hours you’ll received a forged HAMR and/or finisher’s patch. Stay tuned for more info.

Read this. Because this ain’t no walk in the park.

So here’s the deal. Roaming around in the wilds of The U.P. has the potential for an epic day of fun. But stuff can go wrong. Many spots out there do not have cell coverage and some  places are miles from the nearest blacktop. Be prepared, we’re not coming to get you. Well, maybe on Monday. If we’ve got nothing better to do.
