200 miles

Solo event for gravel loving mercenaries. We will warn you – this is not your typical gravel grinder. We have come up with the term “Enhanced Gravel”. Prior to 2018, only a handful of locals had tackled and completed this route – most of them on mountain or fat bikes. In 2018, 17 of 23 intrepid riders completed a 187 mile route under 24 hours. For 2019 we anticipate two river crossings and 12,000+ feet of elevation gain. Depending on the summer you may run into roads that seem to be filled with sand for miles – Enhanced. You’ll encounter mud and rock – Enhanced. Remember those river crossings – Enhanced. If you make it back to camp in 24 hours we’ll have a hand forged award by Gordon Gearheart waiting for you. Stay tuned for more info.

Read this. Because this ain’t no walk in the park.

So here’s the deal. Roaming around in the wilds of The U.P. has the potential for an epic day of fun. But stuff can go wrong. Many spots out there do not have cell coverage and some  places are miles from the nearest blacktop. Be prepared, we’re not coming to get you. Well, maybe on Monday. If we’ve got nothing better to do.
