TEAMHAMR

50 – 75+ miles

2-person TEAM format. Randomly selected start time between 3:00-7:00am. You get 12-hours to collect as many or as few checkpoints as possible. There will be a minimum number of checkpoints you must collect in order to finish. You’ll experience a great variety of “enhanced” gravel and technical singletrack. Scenic vistas overlooking Lake Superior and the Huron Mountains will make this a weekend to remember. All HAMR participants will camp at Basecamp Friday night. There you’ll have a few hours to digest the maps and checkpoints, and formulate a winning strategy for Saturday. Relax Saturday night at Basecamp, eat & drink and wait for the solo SledgeHAMR participants to return from their adventure. Camping fees will be paid by the HAMR Race Team.

Read this. Because this ain’t no walk in the park.

So here’s the deal. Roaming around in the wilds of The U.P. has the potential for an epic day of fun. But stuff can go wrong. Many spots out there do not have cell coverage and some  places are miles from the nearest blacktop. Be prepared, we’re not coming to get you. Well, maybe on Monday. If we’ve got nothing better to do.
